Those small pleasures
Diwali just ended and the only question everyone asked me was "Did you burst crackers this time??". Most people of my age think that bursting crackers after a certain age is immature and childish.Its quite not upto "their" standards to burst crackers after becoming "Adults". All of a sudden "they" become environmental friendly and start the "I am the next Menaka Gandhi" campaign. "These" people fail to experience the big pleasures hidden in these small things.
Watching a rocket fly high in the sky, throwing a lighted Bbijli cracker in the air and watch it burst, lighting an atom bomb and waiting for it to explode, the feeling of euphoria after hearing a 10000 wala burst, convincing a kid that there is nothing dangerous in bursting a cracker, pestering your parents for more crackers. I could and still can experience humble pleasures from all these small,so called "insignificant" and "childish" things.As for "those" people, they can't even enjoy these humble pleasures even if they want to and search for it,as they are very "mature" and "cultured", unlike me.

hmmmm.. agree with the small pleasure , huge happiness n euphoria logic. Actually , there aint any logic in it.Simple. Neat.
Well, I dont burst crackers anymore , either. But I sure know the fun in it.Everything right from having to open that gift box of crackers to see what are the ones friendly to you( tht is only in my case :p) right till the sadness of having done with the entire box, still hoping that your parents will bring out another one as a surprise.
Crackers are fun.No doubt.
